About the Summit
Why a Health Summit?
For millions of people living with disabilities, navigating the healthcare system remains one of the most significant challenges they face. From inaccessible facilities to a lack of provider understanding, the barriers are real and the consequences are deeply personal.
The RCWDA Health Summit brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and individuals with lived experience to have the conversations that matter — the ones that lead to meaningful change in how healthcare is delivered, experienced, and improved for people with disabilities worldwide.
This is not a conference of abstract ideas. It is a gathering grounded in real stories, real challenges, and real solutions — all shaped by the people who understand disability health most intimately: those who live it every day.

Why Attend
This Summit Is For You
Whether you are a person living with a disability, a caregiver, a family member, or a professional working in the disability space — this summit was designed with your reality in mind.
We know that navigating healthcare can feel isolating, frustrating, and sometimes dismissive. This is a space where your experience is not only welcomed — it is valued as expertise.
✓
Hear from people who live it. Speakers and panellists share real strategies from their own journeys — not textbook theory, but what actually works in day-to-day life.
✓
Learn how to advocate for better care. Practical tools for communicating with healthcare providers, understanding your rights, and building stronger patient-provider relationships.
✓
Discover resources you may not know exist. From assistive technologies to alternative therapies and support networks that can make a real difference in your quality of life.
✓
Connect with a community that understands. You are not alone in this. Meet others who share similar experiences and who are working toward the same changes you want to see.
✓
Attend from wherever you are. The summit is fully virtual, completely free, and designed to be accessible — because we practise what we preach.

Who We Are
The Rotary Club of
World Disability Advocacy
RCWDA is a purpose-driven Rotary club dedicated to advancing the rights, health, and inclusion of people with disabilities across the globe. Our members span continents and bring together diverse expertise in healthcare, education, technology, policy, and — most importantly — lived experience.
We believe that disability is not a limitation but a lens through which we can build a more compassionate and equitable world. Our work is guided by the principle that every person deserves access to quality healthcare that respects their dignity, their autonomy, and their voice.
Through projects, partnerships, and events like this summit, we are building a global community that refuses to accept the status quo — and is committed to creating something better.

Nothing About Us,
Without Us
The RCWDA Health Summit is built on the conviction that the people most affected by health inequity must be at the centre of the conversation. Every speaker, every topic, and every discussion is shaped by this principle.
